Roller Coaster

At 6 years old, you love these things called Beanie Boos, which are basically a low rent version of Beanie Babies stuck on a key chain.    You took three (Cornica, Eve, and Leona) to the park after school and left them on a bench.    When you figured it out and your mother (whose fault this clearly is) drove you back down there, they were gone.   It wouldn’t have been as bad, but for the fact that Cornica was your first one.   And you personify them, so it was like losing three friends.   It was tough.    But you took it as well as could be expected.   Even so, it broke my heart.

In lighter news, Houston flooded again the other day, which is what happens when you build a city in a swamp.    Happens every year and every year people are shocked.   This is what it looks like when school and work are cancelled at 9:30 on a Monday morning.

Also, I’ve got a birthday coming up and your mother asked Brother what he thought I would like.   He came up with, in order:

  1. Meatballs
  2. Lightbulbs
  3. Hugs

And I can’t really argue with any of that.
